Nutmeg and Mace Products

Nutmeg Available in:
Nutmeg: Round shape nutmeg is usually from Indonesia small islands around Sulawesi Island. Oval nutmeg is usually from Papua Island. However, Round Nutmeg is more common. Usually People call nutmeg refers to the round shape nutmeg. I sell both of them, with the shell or without the shell/peeled. For the without the shell/peeled there are grade ABCD, SS and broken for the oval and round shape nutmeg

Nutmeg grade ABCD: This is the name for grade 1 of nutmeg without shell/ peeled nutmeg. Good shape and smooth surface. A is the biggest diameter, D is the smallest diameter. All has the same function. Good fume and taste

Nutmeg grade SS: This is the name for grade 2 of nutmeg without shell/peeled nutmeg. The are some unbalance shape and some shrink pattern on the surface. The price is cheaper little bit than grade ABCD because they still have the same good fume and taste.

Nutmeg grade broken: when we break the low quality nutmeg or young nutmeg, we will find the broken nutmeg without shell/ peeled nutmeg. Nutmeg with good shape also can become broken nutmeg if we store them in a wrong warehouse too long. The small bug will come and make the good shape nutmeg become broken nutmeg

Mace (outer part skin of nutmeg that has shape looks like dried flower) Available in:

Mace from round shape nutmeg: the shape is more thin and delicate. The color is red to orange. Packed in cartoon box or gunny bag.

Mace from oval shape nutmeg: the shape is thicker and the fume smell is stronger. The color is red to orange but usually black color flower (3) is more than the round shape nutmeg mace. Packed in cartoon box or gunny bag.

Broken grade mace: cheaper price of mace. We do screening process to separate the broken mace from the whole dried mace. However, during the transportation, it is normal if some parts of whole dried mace get pinned and become broken mace.
